"it started with the perfect kiss,
then we could feel the poison set in."

i admit i still think about you.
that when i hum love songs,
it's your face that appears in my mind.
forgetting that we are no longer,
i allow myself to look forward to seeing you
only to be woken by your cold stare.

when you look at me, not past,
the secret wish that it could be a smile that graced your face,
not indifference, a face set in ice.
seeing everyone prepare for christmas,
the beautiful christmas lights that hang along streets,
wondering how it'll be like to have you see it with me,
taking it all in.

kites and bikes,
forbidden thoughts of us surfaces.

wanting to linger in memory,
however knowing life doesn't work that way.
" get over it "
knowing it can never be redone,
and accepting the truth as what it is.

somewhere down the future,
recovery will finish its work.
a broken pencil,
all wrapped in duct tape.

Some things in life are like shooting stars.
They are magnificent, mesmerizing and inspiring.
But as much as you hope, you know that they won't last.
However as you go on,
you come to realize that the memory of having seen it is the most important
For whatever it is worth.
And knowing that,
is enough.

but i think even though i agree with this chunk of words that came up in my brain,
it doesn't stop me from hoping that
perhaps, just perhaps,
another chance.

wishful thinking yes i know.
