the meeting of the eyes, a brief exchange of smiles
-- the final goodbye.

time check: 2300, just got home.
ahh! the fireworks were breathtakingly awesome!
though i had to squeeze (and i literally mean SQUEEZE) with the crowd on really wet ground,
the wait for worthwhile :)
God was really good, He held the rain till the fireworks was over so it wouldn't be cancelled.
still, i was smiling like an idiot when i was standing there.
fireworks just gets to me in this really special way.
plus plus plus, they had my favourite one too!
the yellow one that seems to rain down, yes that one.
the fireworks were on for quite some time, longer than usual.
and now my heels are crying out loud cos i've been standing for the longest time :(
was at city hall since 6 cos i went there for dinner.
then since around 7(?) i've just been roaming around.
caught the band performance at the waterfront,
pretty cool, the band was not too bad.

went to kinokuniya (finally!) today.
got a couple of books ;D but didn't manage to get Monster Love and The Gargoyle.
apparently Monster Love is outta stock there :( and they don't carry the cover for The Gargoyle that i want.
haha, yes i know i sound choosy
but i prefer to have the cover i like since it's gonna be with me for a long time.

piano exam next friday!
had this sudden urge not to go for the exam.
i'm not ready!
but then again, i don't think i'll ever be.
really nervous, don't wanna fail, ahh.

everyone seems so busy :(
or maybe i'm just too free

got a lift from miss loo ytd.
yy was really estactic, it was all etched on her face, lol.
and miss loo is having the misconception of what she saw at ___. rahh, whatever.
then 61-ed to bukit batok with praying mantis.
confided, talked and joked with her.
going home with her and kristal are always such a joy :D

dined with my mum ytd night, so didn't go for HOF.
then we walked home and talked about some stuffs.
but mostly, we were talking about my post's title.
cos of some things that i've heard, just a little surprised and taken aback.
even if it's not true, it made the gears in my mind work.
alot of the times when we see each other along the corridor, or on the bus, or whatever
we meet each other's eyes, and we smile at each other.
then we walk past each other. if we feel up to it, maybe we'll say hi or something.
but let's say we don't feel up to it and so, we don't talk at all.
and we realised next day that the person has left.
not as in died but just left, and that we won't see the person again.
and the brief exchange of smiles has inevitably become the final goodbye.
yet if we had known,
we would have wanted that final goodbye to be something more, something more complete.
it's really interesting huh, the way life makes a fool out of us all.

i think today's a happy day
haha, i sound childish but really,
i think i haven't been having happy days recently.
so ya, today's considered real good.

& i still haven't gotten my hot chocolate from Gloria Jeans Coffee.
