Don’t give up on what you’re doing.Quote from eletheowl.Photo by Keyana

not the first time i've seen this quote. and every time i see this quote, there'll always be someone who pops into my mind. not intentionally of course, they just do. these shadow figures change, they shift from a time to another, but you don't. you're the constant that never changes.

you asked me whether i was angry, and to tell the truth, i really don't know. because i think deep down in my heart, i saw it coming. i simply chose to look the other way, hoping that this time it'll be different. i can't believe you asked, and planned something else in that same slot. what am i suppose to make of it. maybe i'm overreacting, but wouldn't a normal person be in any case hurt? you said you were excited to see me, but it's all a bunch of bullshit isn't it.

i read this quote, and i thought about why i kept believing that you were worth it all. for me to put my trust in you, that you wouldn't disappoint me after all the shit you've thrown my way. you know how i feel around you? i feel like a rebound friend. someone you take for granted. and nobody likes that, do they? friends aren't suppose to treat each other like that right? or at least that's what i thought. perhaps i've grown up with the wrong perceptions but from where i come from, friends don't treat each other like backups.

i think about why i've held on for so long, and for that very reason, i feel like giving up.

say what you wanna about him, but at least he never made promises he couldn't keep.
