there have been a few things/issues that's been plaguing my mind.

1. when told that a certain group is filled with indifference, it really caused me to think about what was the exact cause of the indifference. and it occurred to me today that it was because our friendships never extended beyond outside those wednesdays; in other words, we are disconnected. there were no bonds that held us together other than the fact that we were from the same group. that was why we couldn't be bothered. it's normal isn't it? that's what differentiate strangers from friends, the fact that we are in a certain level connected to those we love, by bonds of friendship and concern.

that's why we would respond when the person is sick, and when the person has a prayer request, we would still remember to pray for him/her even when we leave the group meeting. but that's not happening now is it? we just meet up and go through the motion, sometimes because we have to, not because we truly want to see each other. there's not much effort put in to develop relationships outside that assigned time slot. and thus, how can we expect more when we do not put in the required effort? that's why we don't feel the same conviction.

2. it's amazing to see how people react when they're put under trial, mental and physical pressure. it's so easy to give up, to quit and say "i ain't doing this no more" because it's only a sentence away. all you need to do is to say those words and you'll be freed.

what's more difficult is to stay in the game, to keep running even when you can't see the goal. it takes a hell lot of courage to keep running, especially when you have no idea whether you're running in the right direction. it speaks volume about one's character. there were so many others who had phobias of their own, who were not used to strenuous exercises but still they went, because they were a team for better or for worse. that's probably why i felt disappointed. maybe i do not have the right, but that is exactly what i feel.

i am disappointed. i don't believe that i wasn't a liability because i believe that they could have done tons better if they didn't have a girl on their team. especially when i was the only female on the team, that didn't take any pressure off me.

but still i have learnt so much over the last two saturdays. i've seen how people act when they're under pressure and i feel much closer to them now, in a way. there was a team that inspired and impressed me more than anything else. they managed to get themselves back into the game even after lagging behind other teams by a hell lot. that speaks lot of their determination.

i'm so immensely proud of my team, more than words can express. despite being lost for about an hour, hardcore running and being the last time for most part, we managed to catch up through hard work, teamwork and most importantly, encouragement. we had much fun despite all the fatigue, we ran not for ourselves but for each other and the determination that i saw in them was refreshing. i cannot ask for better teammates than them and i have learnt so much from them.

it was a blessing and an honor to have such a team. we made up for each other's weaknesses, exploited our strengths and above all, we backed each other up. these two saturdays have been one of the best experiences of my life :)

3. i saw this on someone's blog. i wonder whether it is really true; i really hope it is though.

i can't help it but i've been dreaming of someone the last few days. as the thought that surfaced in my mind the other day, "i'd love to date you" but i know it's not impossible. so i really hope that i dreamt of you because you wanted to see me too.
