knowing that things will never be the same
with your empty heart and mine filled with pain.

I don't tell anyone about the way you hold my hand
I don't tell anyone about the things that we have planned
I won't tell anybody
Won't tell anybody

Won't tell anybody how you turn my world around
I won't tell anyone how your voice is my favourite sound
Won't tell anybody
Won't tell anybody

it's almost as though whenever i see you, i breathe the sight of you into my lungs, and my brain registers every change there is in your visage. it's unintentional i swear. noticing which color suits you and which doesn't, how certain colors bring out the vitality in your face and compliments your skin tone. i notice the changes, the fatigue and evidence of time written across your face. i see how you still walk the same way, talk to people the same way, carry your bag the same way and even what your expressions mean.

the smell of you when you walk past, your posture. the way your laughter sounds, your smile and the sad expression in your eyes that has almost become permanent. you think that no one sees it but it's so evident. that crooked smile you have, almost as if every moment of happiness you have is lined with a tinge of sadness. even when you're smiling, that crestfallen look does not leave your eyes.
